Practice maintaining a clean, dry working area using isolation techniques commonly used during restorative procedures.
Matrix Systems & Wedges
Learn proper matrix and wedge selection, placement, adaptation, and removal for predictable restorative results.
Composite Restorations
Practice placing, shaping, and adapting tooth-colored restorative materials with an emphasis on modern techniques.
Amalgam Fundamentals
Learn the foundational principles and placement techniques for amalgam while maintaining a stronger focus on composite restorations.
Finishing & Contouring
Develop techniques for shaping, smoothing, finishing, and polishing restorations for proper form and function.
Coronal Polishing
Practice polishing techniques, equipment use, patient safety, and the removal of appropriate surface deposits and stains.
Complete Restorative Workflow
Bring preparation, material handling, placement, finishing, patient care, and clinical teamwork together from start to finish.
One Day a Week. Six Weeks of Focused Training.
Saturdays 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Students attend one full class day each week, including a 1-hour break.
Instruction + Hands-on Practice
Class time combines focused instruction, demonstrations, and repeated clinical practice.

What You Need to Apply
Who is Eligible?
Applicants must either have completed a recognized Dental Assisting program and provide a copy of your completion certificate OR they must have 2 years of verifiable work experience as a dental assistant.
You can begin your application before every document is ready. Missing items may be uploaded later through your student portal, but all required documents must be submitted before the first class.
How Enrollment Works
1. Apply Online
Complete the EFDA application and provide your contact, education, and work-history information.
Submit Eligibility Documents
Upload your Dental Assisting certificate or employer verification of at least 2 years of experience.
3. Application Review
HDAS reviews your eligibility and required documents before approving enrollment.
4. Pay Your Deposit
After approval, pay the $500 deposit to reserve your place in the selected cohort.
5. Confirm Your Class
Receive your class schedule, payment details, and instructions before the program begins.
EFDA classes are limited to 10 students. Submitting an application does not reserve a seat. Your seat is confirmed only after the approval and deposit payment.
